Our Mission
Since its inception in 1992, the Association for Homeschooling has promoted the recognition of the right of parents to educate their children within the family in South Africa, as it is recognised in art. 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Right which states: “Parents have a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be given to their children.” Since 2010, the Association also promotes these parental rights in the larger Southern Africa region.

Pretoria North and surrounding area moms are welcome to join us for monthly outings, factory tours, picnics and get togethers. We try and reserve the 2nd Friday for ice skating and the last Friday of the month for an outing. There are moms with small babies, primary school children and a small group of teenagers that usually get together month to month. Anyone living in the northern parts of Pretoria, Moot or even out Moloto way are welcome to join us.

Donkerhoek/Boskop en oor die hele Ooste en Noorde
Die groep se kinders wissel van kleuters tot 17 jaar. Die groep kuier ook in kleiner groepe, veral die wat kleiner kinders het. Die groep is omtrent 80% Afrikaanssprekendes en 20% Engelssprekendes. Lede kom van oor die hele Pretoria, veral van die Noorde en die Ooste.

Tuisskool Koor
Kerryn Milella is besig om 'n sanggroep of koortjie spesiaal vir tuisskolers, te begin in die Suide van Pretoria. Sy bly in Pierre van Ryneveld en gaan aanvanklik tuis die afrigting hanteer. Sy is baie entoesiasties oor musiek en sang en koorsang.
Sy het reeds begin met oudisies, maar sal graag nog meer kinders wil insluit en uiteindelik die laerskool- en hoërskool groepe skei.

Musica Bella is 'n gemeenskapsorkes wat sedert 2005 deur Cornelia van Oostrum afgerig word. Hulle bestaan uit musikante van 'n verskeidenheid ouderdomme wat elkeen 'n ander musiekagtergrond het. Die hoofdoel van die orkes is om 'n positiewe en nie-kompeterende atmosfeer te skep waar mense in 'n groep kan musiek maak. Die orkes se repertoire dek alles van ligte klassieke tot pop en rock musiek. Musiek uit flieks en musiekblyspele is ook baie gewild onder die orkeslede en word gereeld ingeoefen.

Ons Missie
Sedert sy oprigting in 1992 het die Vereniging vir Tuisonderwys hom beywer vir die erkenning van ouers se reg om hulle kinders binne familieverband op te voed in Suid-Afrika, soos dit erken word in art. 26 van die Universele Verklaring van Menseregte wat verklaar: “Ouers het die reg om te kies watter tipe opvoeding hulle kinders ontvang.” Sedert 2010 bevorder die vereniging hierdie ouerlike regte ook in die Suider-Afrikaanse streek.
